I love a good time. Even when I am not making an effort to be productive or excited about the work I am doing, I am still happy to be on time and feeling energetic. The key to getting time to yourself is not to make it a negative thing. I find it incredibly stressful to be rushing and being on time. I’m not saying that rushing is bad, because it is what we are all programmed to do.
I don’t know about you, but I find it so infuriating when my computer is on all the time. Most people are working on their computers at all times. However, I am on my computer for approximately two-thirds of the day and then my phone, tablet, and computer all go to sleep for a couple of hours.
I have no idea how many times you guys are on your computer. If you could guess, you’d probably be in the same situation with your phone, tablet, and computer. If you do know about me, you would just be walking around in circles.
It is a sad fact of life. Our society has become more and more disconnected from each other, so many of us are only connected to computers for a few hours. We also have no idea how to use those computers. This leads us to believe that we’re missing out on some really cool stuff that could be so much more exciting and rewarding to us. So when we think that things are just “hanging on our kitchen cabinets,” it’s usually not true.
A couple of weeks ago I had a very similar thought: I just don’t know how I would go to the bathroom. It’s like I’m trapped in an endless loop of a computer. All you can do is watch and wait.
It would be hard to describe the feeling of being so alone, so trapped, so dependent.
I’m not sure if its the fact that its very easy to just sit there and wait, or the fact that I don’t know how to leave it. However, there’s a lot of space in my brain to think that this is just a game, and that it would be much much more fun to just keep watching.
The problem with that is that there is no way to just sit there and wait. When I’m bored I get a little weird. I can go for a walk on the beach, or do some chores, or watch some TV. In fact, most of the time I just watch that awful thing on Netflix. I’m not really in the mood to watch something. I just want to be bored.
It’s a difficult thing to do. The problem is that if you’re bored, you can’t really change it. You cant really make any kind of a dent on a boredom machine. The best you can do is try to distract yourself. If you want to watch TV, or read a book, or play a video game, then do that. If you want to paint your walls, or watch a movie or go bowling, then do that.
I don’t know if you understand what I am saying. I am a gamer and I like it when people are bored. I enjoy playing video games, but I also enjoy playing games on my phone. I think it’s not a problem that I’m in.
